This is a series written by Lynette Miller, LP Coordinator** Any woman who has been pregnant or is currently pregnant (like me) knows your life changes radically, in ways we sometimes don't expect. I never expected my spiritual life and prayer time to be affected so much by this little person growing inside of me. There are things I am getting the opportunity to do with our second child I was not equipped to do with our first unfortunately. I find myself praying, "God help me be prepared to be a better mommy," "Let this child grow safely," "Let me guard my words more carefully." But most of all I pray, "Help this child to love you from an early age." Jere (my husband) and I even prayed about the baby's name and we don't know the gender yet. Fortunately, God obliged with a name already. There is so much work to do with a baby on the way besides the nursery set up and all the fun toys. There is a spiritual foundation to be laid. The good news is even if you missed the opportunity to do this when your child was a baby or have not yet begun, there is no time like the present. God will honor a loving heart. We all want the best for our children and the best starts with a strong foundation. Plant roots of faith. Proverbs 22:6 says, Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he shall not depart from it.
